This week we were doing explanation writing about how we dispose of the school lunch rubbish.

Here it is:

Every day a truck comes to our school and delivers our lunch (to us). Sometimes it comes from the Brickhouse or PitaPit. The food comes Hot/warm and cold sometimes. We have students in our class who pick up our food and bring it back in a box. 

When we finish eating, we have to put the tiny boxes with the food in the rubbish bin outside. If we leave it inside, it’ll stink up the class. Sometimes people don’t always finish their food and put the rest of their food in an orange bin outside with the food scraps. 

Once a week or so students go to all the outside rubbish bins and take out the rubbish bags and take them to the skip bin (a big big rubbish bin) and chuck them in there. Classes take turns to do it. Sometimes teachers do it, but students do it mainly. 

Then, once a week or fortnight, a rubbish truck comes and empties the skip bin, and takes it away. That’s how we dispose of the school lunch rubbish.
